ABOUT US
Don
Registered Psychologist
My work as a psychologist comes from a place of patient compassion and a strong belief that people carry within them the capacities to heal emotionally, much like we do physically. In providing a space of care, presence and warmth, I seek to help remedy the impacts of isolation and aloneness.
My work with people is expressed by this quote: “You don’t have to fix the story, just love the one who lived it all.” (Jarrad Hewett) I believe that a kind approach to ourselves, including our most difficult emotions, memories and habits, is the most effective way to grow and heal.
I am committed to finding and applying the leading edge psychological approaches that consider the whole person, including body states, the nervous system, the experience of emotions and the mind. I enjoy working with adults of all ages and have extensive experience with children and youth.
I was born and raised in Calgary and am honoured to serve the community through my work. Before becoming a Psychologist, I worked as a teacher and school administrator in the area.
